>On Fri. Jan. 13, 2017, President Obama has decided to enact over 2 dozen different presidential actions — for a grand total of 25.
These presidential actions resulted in continuation of the National Emergency with respect to countries such as Iran, Venezuela, Libya, Cuba, Zimbabwe, and Ukraine; executive orders placing sanctions on Sudan; announced sanctions designations against 18 senior Syrian officials for their role in the use of chlorine as a chemical weapon in 2014 and 2015; and designated three new national monuments along with expansion.
With only days left of his „presidency,“ why is Mr. Obama so adamant about signing in all of these orders?
Not to mention how, in the exact same week, U.S. troops have been permanently deployed to Poland — along with NATO announcing more troops to arrive in Lithuania late-Jan. And mind you, this comes only weeks after Mr. Obama decided to expel 35 Russian diplomats from the country for good…
Then, according to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), „new rules issued by the Obama administration under Executive Order 12333 will let the NSA—which collects information under that authority with little oversight, transparency, or concern for privacy—share the raw streams of communications it intercepts directly with agencies including the FBI, the DEA, and the Department of Homeland Security, according to a report today by the New York Times.“
But There’s More!!!
On Tue. Jan. 17, 2017, Mr. Obama also signed for an Amendment to the Civil Service Rules, Executive Order 13488, and Executive Order 13467 — along with a Memorandum for the Secretary of State: calling for the delegation of a senior official to: „Develop guidance for the Global Engagement Center relating to relevant privacy and civil liberties laws, and to ensure compliance with such guidance.“
Why all of these draconian laws?
And why the big push all of a sudden?<
